Meet Debbie Locke:
Debbie lives in Marietta, GA, where her husband, Tim, is senior pastor of East Cobb Presbyterian Church. Tim and Debbie have been in ministry for the 24 years they have been married, as Tim has pastored churches in Michigan, South Carolina, Florida, and New Jersey. These varied experiences in ministry have provided Debbie with numerous opportunities to serve and grow, both personally and in her ministry gifts.
The Lockes have four children – David (19), Rebecca (18), Matthew (14), and Jonathan (11). She received a B.A. and a Master’s degree in Biblical Counseling, which have prepared her for communal and personal ministry within many areas of the church. She has also completed a certificate in Biblical Counseling through CCEF at Westminster Theological Seminary in Glenside, PA.
Debbie has a heart for women’s ministry, and enjoys using her gifts and experience in this arena. She has served in women’s ministry planning and leadership since her college days, and has a burden to see women grow in their faith and knowledge of God. She has been a part of the national Women’s Ministry Leadership team for her denomination for several years, and currently serves as Regional Advisor to the Southeast. In addition to women’s ministry, Debbie enjoys being a part of her local community, volunteering her time in her children’s area schools and on the Parents of Special Needs Committee in their school district, as their third child, Matthew, was born with Down Syndrome.
In her spare time, Debbie enjoys time with family, dating her husband, and getting together with friends. She is grateful for God’s continual working in her life to teach her about His grace and what it means to live in the identity of a cherished daughter of the King.
